About the Institute
Founded on the idea that the same tools eroding us can help rebuild us.
The Wisdom Method™ Institute is a research institute studying how contemplative practice, embodied training, and connection restore human capacities that screens and isolation erode.
A note from the founder
"I started this work because I kept meeting the same person in every hospital, classroom, and clinic — exhausted, over-stimulated, and quietly convinced that their attention was gone for good. It isn't. It can be rebuilt, deliberately, with the same rigor we'd apply to any other measurable outcome."

Kellie Adkins is a creative technologist, contemplative scientist, and innovative educator. She founded The Wisdom Method™ Institute in 2011 to bring the same rigor applied to technology's harms to the practices that reverse them.
Her academic background sits deliberately at an intersection: a graduate degree in nutrition science with a neuroscience focus, an undergraduate degree in philosophy and religion, and clinical certification as a yoga therapist. That combination — hard science, contemplative tradition, and applied technique — shapes everything the Institute builds.
As CTO, she also leads the Institute's work in applied technology, including the agentic-AI tools now in development to widen access to trauma-informed care through the Centered Survivor™ program.
